Adsense Makes Sense

One way to ‘monetise’ your website is to insert non-competing placement advertising. Google has a process that can automatically place these non-competing and relevant advertisements onto your websitethrough their Adsense programme.

So , How Much Money Will I Generate Through Adsense?

If you elect to explore the Google’s AdSense program you will be asking yourself what you can earn by joining this scheme. You may also be pre-judging Adsense against the more traditional advertising route.

Google keeps its cards very close to its chest with regards to how much AdWords advertisers pay  for every click that is directed to their website and the same is applicable for how much AdSense advertisers make from their sites.

There are never any official statistics regarding Adsense earnings but rumours are rife on the net  stating the anticipated amount of income that a website can generate by using AdSense. There are  unconfirmed reports of people raising well over £500 pounds per month using AdSense but official disclosure it is not permitted by Google.

There have been  claims of people exceeding  £75,000 per month but in reality , that is very hard to believe. In essence, if you have a small website with regular visitors and you simply want the website to generate enough income to pay for itself,  there is a good chance you can do this by incorporating  AdSense.

AdSense is also useful for sites or multi-sites, with a multitude of pages. One page will not generate that much in terms of revenue, multiple pages probably will as every click on any ad will count. In this case, quantity matters more than quality.

Nobody can really say exactly how much money you are going to generate through AdSense but you can make a calculated guess by assessing a few factors .

First, as we have previously discussed , is the amount of traffic you get to your website on a daily basis . By having Google Analytics installed on each web page, this can give you an indication as to likely traffic. Potentially the more visitors, the more clicks you may get. The more clicks, the more money .

What also matters is the content on your website. If your site contains the popular niches such as music or health, inevitably you will see more clicks, particular if you mix-up your page with attractive graphics and banners.

As we have covered above, the more people who click on the ads, the more money you will make – fairly obvious ! So, the the most effective way to make money is to have some popular content on your website by way of articles and blog posts. Where possible, any internal links on your site should also be pointed towards your most popular ad pages.

Another important factor to consider is the quantity and the actual position of the ads per page on your site. Care should be taken not to overdo it as too many ads will have the opposite effect and turn your potential customer away. Google has tight rules with regards to how many ads you can have on your site so read their terms and conditions with care . Don’t make the error of believing that a web page rammed full of ads is a good thing – it it really isn’t .

Although it is not really an art to positioning ads on your web page, there is a standard theme that should be considered to make the page feel ‘familiar’ to visitors. There are certain places that ads should appear and your web designer should be aware of this to maximise your web page’s AdSense revenue .

To sum up , the amount of money you can earn with AdSense depends on various factors. But if your site/s have relevant or popular content, many pages and if you have a fairly consistent amount of regular visitors each day, you should start making money with Google Adsense. However, perhaps not enough in the early stages to afford a new Gibson guitar or that new Shimano Reel for your next fishing vacation .

Even if you don’t fall into these categories, you should still consider AdSense as there is not that much extra effort to set it up and even small amounts of revenue can go a some way making your website self-sufficient and generate some cash in the post for you every month.
